Desktop Magnifier

The Desktop Magnifier allows patrons with difficulty reading small and normal print sizes to magnify text to larger sizes.  The brightness can be adjusted and text can be converted to colour or white on a black background.

The Desktop Magnifier is located at the Armadale Library and is accessible during normal library opening hours.

Powermate

You can now easily and safely measure many of the power requirements of a mains-operated device. Another bonus is that you can finally have control over costly electricity accounts while helping the environment. It is now possible to determine the actual running cost of an appliance or identify a faulty appliance that is using more power than it should
