Mental wellbeing for young carers

Mental wellbeing for young carers

How to take care of yourself too

Do you know a young person, aged 8 - 25 years old, who helps support a member of their household living with disability, a mental health challenge, a long term health condition, substance dependency or who is frail aged?

For many young carers, helping to look after somebody else is just a normal part of life. Although it can be a rewarding experience, we understand that it can sometimes be challenging and it may not be something you speak to your family or friends about.

As a young carer, your mental wellbeing needs support too and it is important to know where to turn for help.

In this information session, join a dedicated Carer Support Counsellor and Young Carer Education Officer from Carers WA to discuss the importance of taking care of your mental wellbeing as a young carer and how Carers WA can support you.

Places are limited and bookings are essential.

Please notify the library if you are unable to attend after booking.
