Bert Tyler Vintage Machinery Museum

Located in the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre the Bert Tyler Vintage Machinery Museum celebrates the legacy of local resident Bert Tyler and his passion for collecting and restoring vintage machinery.

The museum includes Bert’s beloved Hornsby, Sunshine, and Lister engines, as well as machinery from various vital trades of the Perth Hills regions. The attached replica of Armadale’s first post office offers a compelling look at communications long gone and is a celebration of Armadale’s first postmistress, Miss Elsie Turner.

Morse code demonstrations and tours are available to booked groups.

The museum is also home to one of Armadale’s geocaches, blending the old and the new seamlessly.
