Armadale Writers' Award

This is a creative writing competition open to adult writers living in Western Australia. 

Works must be original unpublished prose and have a 1000 - 3000 word count.

The Armadale Writers’ Award will open and accept online entries only from 1 - 30 September 2020.


The Prizes for each category are 1st Prize $1000, 2nd Prize $750, 3rd prize $500, plus seven finalists will receive a $50 book voucher. These are presented at a private award ceremony.


This award will be judged by a panel of authors and librarians. This is a creative writing competition and entries will be judged on originality of themes, plot development, story structure and overall quality of writing.

Individual feedback cannot be provided.
