Family History Assistance
Birtwistle Local Studies Library can assist people with family history research. Friendly, experienced volunteer genealogists are available every Tuesday afternoon between 1pm and 4pm (bookings are essential).These one-hour sessions are free and fun.
Self-directed Family Research
Many other resources are available to help locate your ancestors and learn about their lives, including genealogy databases Ancestry and Find My Past. Phone 9394 5641 to check the availability of computers.
Family Tree Group Meetings
The Family Tree Group allows like-minded people to discuss their family history research projects while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.
Meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at 10am in the Armadale Library Meeting Room. Invited guest speakers are a feature of these gatherings.
