Providing a mid-level range of audio and video equipment at an affordable rate. This is an excellent way to create high quality content without the high costs. All you need is an idea.
Both rooms can be booked during library opening times, standard meeting room fees apply:
Community groups: $16.50 per hour
Commercial groups: $23.50 per hour
Library staff can provide assistance in the set-up of the studio equipment – however we are unable to provide any editing or post-production support.
Please note that the rooms are only sound dampened, and when using high quality equipment some external sound bleed can occur.

- Zoom H6 recorder
- 4 Rode NT1-A Cardioid condenser microphones (with pop filters and shock mounts)
- Mackie PROFX12 mixer
Video equipment
- Canon EOS80D (with various lenses)
- Rode Wireless go Microphones SmartLav+
- Rode VideoMic Pro Shotgun microphone
- Green screen
An iMac with various editing software is also available to assist with editing and migrating saved data. You can BYO your own laptop to record directly on, otherwise you will need a large portable storage device (USB or SD card) to save your work.
The library can provide quick use guides for the equipment. You can request an appointment with our digital services team to have a run through of the equipment prior to your booking. Library Staff can provide basic assistance with the equipment set-up – but can’t provide any editing or post-production support.
