A buggy book version of Baby Ways is included in the Better Beginnings Baby reading pack. Better Beginnings is a Western Australian family literacy program that connects families with books through free reading packs.
The program aims to improve literacy and learning outcomes for all W.A. children by encouraging families to read, talk, sing, write and play with their child every day.
Baby Ways is written by Nola Allen and Margaret Robson Kett, with photographs by Frances Andrijich, published by the State Library of Western Australia.
This community book involves the learning and experience of the participants from the City of Armadale’s Learning English Through Storytime (LETS) family literacy program held weekly at the Armadale Library in Perth, Western Australia for six sessions in August and September 2021.
The program aims to encourage families from diverse backgrounds to read, learn and engage with libraries to practice their English in a fun educational environment through stories, songs, rhymes, and themed interactive activities.
