Waste Less - Composting and Worm Farming Community Workshop

This practical, informative workshop is designed to support residents' knowledge and confidence in recycling food scraps, garden waste and other organics to create a nutrient rich product for their gardens. Worm farming, Bokashi, and hot composting basics will be explained, to enable participants to decide which system best aligns to their lifestyle and individual circumstances.

Participants will leave the workshop with an understanding of the features of each system, an ability to identify waste material inputs from their household, and the capacity to produce nutrient rich fertiliser and compost in their own home. This afternoon workshop also includes a brief tour of the adjacent Kelmscott Community Garden.

Note: At the conclusion of the workshop, City of Armadale residents are entitled to select one composting/worm farming system of their choice and will automatically receive a 100% rebate. The rebate is dependent upon presentation of suitable ID together with a rates notice or utility bill upon arrival at the workshop, and can only be claimed once, during occupancy of the residence.
